Congratulations!
You have a little one on the way and you've been told how quickly they grow. Although there is so much truth to this, rest assured that we will capture all of those newborn features and details so that you can continue to remember not only the way they looked as a brand new baby, but also the way they felt in your arms, those beautiful soft rolls, and how their tiny fingers wrapped around just one of yours.
My style: modern, simple newborns
Babies are born perfect. I use clean, non-distracting set ups to allow your baby to be the focus of your images. The session is styled predominantly with whites and neutrals. I use a combination of traditional newborn posing, and relaxed, baby-led posing while also incorporating parents' hands into my work in order to give perspective as to how little they truly once were. Family images have a traditional as well as a studio lifestyle feel.
Safety as a priority ...
Newborn photography is unlike any other genre of photography. The experienced newborn photographer handles your sweet little babe and has knowledge of their needs, reflexes and circulatory system in order to ensure safe posing. I have spent years learning my craft and have undergone certified safety training in the posing of newborn babies. I am a member of Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International, an organization with a mandate to bring safety to the forefront of newborn photography.
As a registered nurse, I bring my professionalism and caring concepts into my work as a newborn photographer. I understand that newborns are an at-risk population due to their immature immune systems. I am professionally trained in infection prevention and control and implement applicable standards within my studio so you can be assured that your sweet little babe is in my safe hands.
The Studio
I'd love to welcome you into hand wash only studio! The studio is located on the third floor of an office building. There is no elevator so there are some stairs to climb. The studio has it's own private washroom and consists of two separate shooting spaces, one of which is where all the newborn magic happens.
The studio is thoroughly cleaned in between each newborn session. It is stocked with everything we need for your session, including hand made newborn outfits, bonnets, lovies, headbands and tiebacks.
The studio has a client closet with dresses for mamas that are curated to fit with my style and that flatter the postpartum figure. Mamas are welcome to the client closet for their newborn session.

When to book
It's best to book your newborn session in advance, while you are still pregnant, in order to ensure availability for your due date. I will occasionally take last minute newborns when I can fit them into my schedule. When you book, we book your due date. I take only 4-5 due dates per month so that I have the flexibility to accommodate all of my clients. Ready to book?
